The River City Piecemakers, a Batesville quilt guild, is crafting blankets for police cars to help make children feel more at ease during their interactions with law enforcement. The guild, which consists of around 40 members and meets once a month, aims to place a quilt in each of the 22 patrol cars. According to the group’s president, Glenda Taylor, they have already completed about 40 quilts of the 55 to 60 requested by law enforcement.
