A 66-year-old man from Cave City tragically passed away early Saturday morning in Sharp County, Arkansas. According to Arkansas State Police, the fatal crash occurred at 2:58 a.m., claiming the life of Joe Guthrie.
The incident involved a 2021 Ford Escape traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 167 near Christopher Street. The vehicle veered off the roadway to the left, striking a sign before spinning and coming to a stop facing south on the south roadside of Christopher Street.
Trooper Peter J. Kootz, who responded to the scene, reported that the weather condition was clear, and the road condition was dry at the time of the accident.
