On March 28, 2025, a deadly accident occurred at 4:05 p.m. on State Highway 375 West in rural Polk County.

Donita Perrine, a 54-year-old woman from Mena, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer when the crash happened. She was ejected from her car in the severe crash in the rain. Arkansas State Police have released initial details for the public regarding what allegedly happened.

According to Arkansas State Police, Perrine’s vehicle was heading west when it veered off the right side of the road.

The Trailblazer overturned, ejecting Perrine from the vehicle.

Polk County Deputy Coroner Stephanie Miller pronounced Perrine dead at the scene at 4:53 p.m.

The crash occurred under cloudy skies with wet roads contributing to the incident.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal accident.
