Police Celebrate Woman’s Radical Transformation
Hicks, who once faced homelessness and jail time, has now celebrated three years of sobriety, marriage, and homeownership, thanks in part to the support from the community and law enforcement.
Rebecca credits much of her turnaround to Advanced Peer Recovery Specialist Kelli McHughes, who guided her through recovery and never lost faith in her potential.
The police department praised McHughes’ efforts in changing lives, emphasizing her role in community recovery initiatives.
