NorthStar Clean Energy and General Motors have partnered to launch Newport Solar, a new facility aimed at powering GM’s operations. According to K8 News in Jonesboro, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Thursday to mark the occasion. Newport Solar is expected to produce approximately 410,000 megawatt hours of renewable energy annually, enough to power over 30,000 homes in Arkansas.
