City records and contract documents reveal a $0 first‑year subscription for Sherwood’s police drone program, followed by a $79,999 annual fee and additional setup expenses, though final spending has not yet been confirmed.

Cost Breakdown of Sherwood’s Drone Subscription Revealed

According to the Arkansas Accountability Project, the Motorola/BRINC quote lists a $0 fee for Year 1 and $79,999 per year for Years 2‑6, totaling $399,995 before tax over five paid years.

Separate setup costs include a $1,250 CAD integration expense and a $4,911.68 estimate for rooftop electrical work, together amounting to $6,161.68, but payment records are still needed.

Additional infrastructure such as Ethernet cabling and network protection was assigned to BGS Communications, with coordination by city IT and facilities staff, yet those costs have not been identified.

The first subscription invoice is expected in month 13 after go‑live; installation and test flights were reported successful by August 19, while training remained pending, and the exact go‑live date still requires confirmation.
