REPORT: Four Arkansas Students Extinguish “Electrical Fire” Before Firefighters Arrive

A surprising act of quick thinking captured the community’s attention as a minor fire was put out before emergency crews could arrive.

Four Greenbrier High School students, guided by a teacher, extinguished a small electrical fire at a power pole outside the school before the fire department arrived, according to the Faulkner County Fire Buff.

The Faulkner County Fire Buff reported that Greenbrier Fire Department Engine 1, Brush 1, and Squad 1 were dispatched to an electrical issue involving a power pole at Greenbrier High School.

Four students from Greenbrier High, under the supervision of a teacher who called emergency services, took the initiative to extinguish the fire.

The fire was successfully put out before the fire department crews arrived, and no incident or damage to the school building was reported.

Details about the cause of the electrical fire have not yet been released.
