French Hill joined ArkansasRadio.com radio stations CEO and General Manager Bob Connell for a recent edition of the “Open Mic” program discussing housing reform, border security, taxes, and bipartisan cooperation in Congress.

During the interview, Hill highlighted a major bipartisan housing bill that passed the U.S. House with overwhelming support. According to Hill, 396 members of Congress voted in favor of the legislation, including every Democrat in the House.
Hill explained the bill would modernize housing regulations, expand modular and manufactured housing opportunities, reduce red tape, and help lower housing construction costs for American families.
The congressman also discussed President Donald Trump’s economic policies, tax reductions, and efforts to strengthen border security. Hill praised recent border enforcement measures and emphasized the importance of continued Homeland Security funding.
Connell and Hill also addressed concerns surrounding political division, media coverage, and the need for bipartisan cooperation on issues affecting working families and small businesses.
Hill noted that hometown community banks continue playing a major role in construction lending and said reducing compliance costs would help increase housing availability and affordability nationwide.
The interview aired as part of ArkansasRadio.com radio stations’ continuing “Open Mic” series featuring local, state, and national leaders discussing issues impacting Arkansas residents.
