Margie’s Haven House is preparing to open a new thrift store in Heber Springs, marking an exciting expansion of its community mission.

Thanks to generous grant support, the organization has purchased property at 1100 West Main Street and is moving into the next phase of launching the Margie’s Haven House Thrift Store in Heber Springs, with a projected grand opening set for April 15.

To support the store’s opening, the nonprofit is hiring a full-time store manager and one part-time support staff member. Organizers also plan to build a strong volunteer team to help operate the store and serve local families.

Court victim advocate Carol Townsend had this to say:

“This store is a place for our communities to come together — donate, shop, volunteer and support families in need. We’re grateful for the support that’s helping us turn this vision into something lasting. Donations of lightly used clothing, furniture, housewares, kitchen appliances and toys will soon be accepted. Leaders say the thrift store will help support their mission and serve the local community.”

In addition, the organization is inviting the community to help choose the store’s official name. Residents are encouraged to submit creative suggestions as preparations continue.

Shoshana Wells, Executive Director Margie’s Haven House shared “This store will be a place where the community can come together—donating, volunteering, shopping, and supporting families in need. We’re grateful for the support that’s helping us turn this vision into something lasting.”

Leaders say the thrift store will help further Margie’s Haven House’s mission while providing affordable goods and new opportunities for community involvement.
