The UACCB UAM bachelor’s degrees partnership will be officially announced Thursday, February 26, expanding access to four-year degrees in Batesville.

University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville and University of Arkansas at Monticello are launching a strategic partnership that will allow students to earn bachelor’s degrees locally at one of the state’s lowest tuition rates.

Under the agreement, UACCB students will be able to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in K-6 Elementary Education beginning in May 2026 and a Bachelor of Business Administration starting in August 2026. Both programs are pending approval from the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Higher Learning Commission.

College leaders say the initiative combines resources from both institutions to improve college completion rates and increase affordable higher education opportunities in Independence County and surrounding communities.

The public announcement will take place at 1 p.m. on February 26 at Independence Hall on the UACCB campus. University leaders will speak, and interview and photo opportunities will be available.

UACCB officials say the partnership strengthens the college’s mission of providing affordable, close-to-home pathways to bachelor’s degrees while supporting regional workforce needs.
