The Batesville Community Theatre will bring Shakespearean comedy and enchanted forest mischief to the stage this Valentine’s weekend with a live production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The beloved romantic comedy opens Friday, February 13 and runs through Sunday, February 15 at the Batesville Community Theatre Performing Arts Center. Organizers say the show promises a delightful, fast-paced performance filled with humor, magic, and mistaken identities — making it a perfect weekend outing for couples, families, and theatre lovers.
Set between a royal court and a mystical woodland, the story weaves together themes of love, jealousy, transformation, and playful supernatural interference. The production features local performers and creative staging designed to bring the classic tale to life for modern audiences.
General admission tickets are $20 and may be purchased at the door or in advance online. Seating is first come, first served for all performances.
