Arkansas State University–Beebe officials announced that all ASU-Beebe campuses will be closed Thursday, January 29, due to lingering winter weather hazards and isolated unsafe road conditions.
While many roadways have improved significantly, university leaders say secondary roads, rural routes, and portions of campus areas remain unsafe for travel and normal operations.
Maintenance and facilities crews continue working to clear walkways, parking areas, and campus infrastructure. Officials say they are hopeful that improving conditions will allow the university to resume normal operations on Friday, weather permitting.
Students are encouraged to continue monitoring Canvas and their ASU-Beebe email accounts for assignments, class updates, and any guidance related to remote instruction.
University officials urge students, faculty, staff, and visitors to use caution, avoid unnecessary travel, and remain safe as winter conditions continue.
Additional updates will be shared through campus email, www.asub.edu
, and official ASU-Beebe social media channels.
