The $1.8 billion Powerball ticket sold at Murphy USA in Cabot has officially been claimed, according to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

Lottery officials confirmed that the winner has chosen to remain anonymous and selected the one-time lump sum cash option. Before tax withholdings, the cash payout totals approximately $834.9 million.
Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Executive Director Sharon Strong said officials were pleased the winner took time to carefully plan before coming forward.
“Everyone was anxiously waiting for the winner to step forward, but we are happy they took the time to seek legal counsel and financial advice first, as we recommended,” Strong said. “We are thrilled that the winner is from Arkansas.”
The historic win marks one of the largest lottery jackpots ever claimed in the state and is expected to generate significant public interest and economic impact across Central Arkansas.
Lottery officials remind players to always sign the back of their tickets, keep them secure, and seek professional financial guidance if they win a large prize.
