With only late archery season remaining to close out the 2025–26 deer season, most Arkansas hunters have already packed away their deer gear or shifted their focus to waterfowl and small game. But before leaving the deer woods behind, qualifying hunters are reminded to apply for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Triple Trophy Award.

The AGFC will accept applications through April 10 at agfc.com/tripletrophy.
To qualify, hunters must harvest at least one deer in the same season using each of the three primary methods: modern firearm, muzzleloading firearm, and archery or crossbow equipment. Hunters who meet the requirements receive a commemorative patch and a certificate suitable for framing.
Deer harvested with straight-walled rifles count toward the modern firearm portion of the award, while only firearms loaded through the muzzle qualify for the muzzleloader category. The program continues to recognize hunters who challenge themselves by using traditional hunting methods across multiple seasons.
The Triple Trophy Program, created in 1984, was designed to promote responsible deer herd management by encouraging doe harvests. Since Arkansas limits hunters to two bucks per season, the third deer required for the award must be a doe, supporting population balance across the state.
Hunters who completed the challenge during the 2025–26 season are encouraged to apply now before the deadline. Full details and the online application are available at www.agfc.com/tripletrophy
