A childhood dream came full circle for Fairfield Bay Mayor Seth Connell, who recently received a signed gold baseball card from Major League Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Dennis Eckersley, a favorite player from Connell’s youth.
Connell shared that he mailed a baseball card to Eckersley, hoping for an autograph. To his surprise, the legendary pitcher returned it with a personalized signature — a memorable keepsake now added to Connell’s collection.
