The Stone County Sheriff’s Office says a routine traffic stop led to a major drug arrest on November 30, 2025. Deputy Travis Shepherd pulled over a 2005 Nissan Altima for a traffic violation and noticed the driver appeared unusually nervous, showing signs of possible criminal activity.

The driver, 29-year-old Reba Wilkey of Timbo, consented to questioning, and a subsequent vehicle search uncovered approximately 62 grams of crystal methamphetamine and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. Authorities estimate the narcotics have a street value of about $3,000.

Wilkey was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Stone County Detention Center.

She faces the following charges:

Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver – Class A Felony

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Class D Felony

Open Container of Alcohol – Class A Misdemeanor

No Tail Lights – Unclassified Misdemeanor

Operating an Unsafe Vehicle – Unclassified Misdemeanor

Wilkey remains in the Stone County Detention Center awaiting bond. The Sheriff’s Office notes that additional charges may be filed pending review by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
