, , Leave a comment

Arkansas State Parks invites the public to attend a trail dedication celebration at Queen Wilhelmina State Park on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 10 a.m. The event highlights recent improvements to the park’s trail system, designed to enhance visitor experiences and provide greater access to the park’s stunning mountain landscapes.

The upgraded trails offer renewed opportunities for hiking, sightseeing, and outdoor recreation, encouraging both Arkansans and visitors to explore one of the state’s most scenic viewpoints along the Ouachita Mountains.

Located on the Talimena Scenic Drive, just 13 miles from Mena and atop rugged Rich Mountain, Queen Wilhelmina State Park is one of Arkansas’s most scenic mountain destinations. The park is also rich in history, with the original lodge built in the late 1800s as the Wilhelmina Inn, honoring Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands.

This project reflects Arkansas State Parks’ commitment to improving guest experiences and expanding access to premier outdoor recreation opportunities across the state.
