He was arrested on August 21st, 2025. The case is still ongoing.
But the alleged crime happened years ago…
The Sherwood Police Department reports that Charles James Bilbrey, 31, faces charges of Sexual Assault in the First Degree and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile. The alleged crimes occurred on June 16, 2023, in White County, Arkansas. You can view the suspect’s photograph below.
Disturbing Allegations Against Searcy Man
According to case files, Bilbrey is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor under 18, whom he was reportedly temporarily caring for. He also allegedly provided the minor with alcohol and THC, leading to impairment.
Detective Sidney Marini of the White County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case. Bilbrey admitted to supplying the substances but denied the sexual allegations.
Prosecuting Attorney Rebecca Reed Mccoy filed the charges.
The suspect reportedly had a “fetish: involving contact with sleeping individuals.
Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the White County Sheriff’s Office. The case remains under active investigation.
