Water Line Leak Repaired, Service Restored
The leak in the main water line has been repaired, according to the Heber Springs Water & Wastewater Utility. Water service to the affected area is now being restored.
Customers should expect some air in the lines as service resumes. The utility confirmed that air intrusion is common after such repairs.
The area is known to entrain air easily, so the utility will flush the hydrants attached to the main.
Flushing operations are scheduled to continue for most of the afternoon to clear the air.
