Clinton School District Superintendent Tim Smith recently received a firsthand look at the military service performed by members of the 77th Aviation Brigade during a Boss Lift experience at Camp Robinson.
According to information shared by the Clinton School District on Facebook, Smith participated in the Boss Lift on September 11 after receiving an invitation from Noah Freeman.
The Boss Lift program gives civilian employers an opportunity to see and better understand what their employees do when they leave their regular jobs to serve in the military.
During the visit, Smith traveled to Camp Robinson, where he learned more about the brigade’s Black Hawk helicopters and spoke with military personnel who operate and support the aircraft.
Smith also had the opportunity to experience a flight aboard a helicopter over Central Arkansas.
The Clinton School District said the experience provided Smith with a closer look at the responsibilities carried by service members who balance civilian careers with their military commitments.
The district thanked Noah Freeman for inviting Smith to participate and expressed appreciation for the men and women who serve their country while maintaining careers and responsibilities at home.
The district also recognized the service and sacrifices made by members of the military and their families.
The experience took place on September 11, adding special significance to a day remembered across the country for service, sacrifice and patriotism.
