This is a developing story.
Nekai Barron, 26, was booked into the White County jail on September 20, 2026. He was arrested by the Searcy Police Department on charges of fleeing on foot (second offense within one year) and obstruction of government operations.
According to the affidavit, Barron is accused of fleeing on foot after a prior incident and of obstructing government operations by using or threatening physical force, as shown in the booking photograph below.
Charges Against Nekai Barron
Prosecutors say Barron allegedly fled on foot, a second offense within a year, after an earlier similar incident. The affidavit indicates the flight occurred following an encounter with law enforcement.
Court records state he is accused of obstructing government operations by using or threatening physical force, and that the charge includes a subsequent offense related to that conduct.
