The Clinton community is mourning the death of Clinton High School student Peyton Hoyle.
Clinton High School announced Peyton’s passing in a message shared with the community, describing her as a cherished member of the school family.
“It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved student, Peyton Hoyle,” the school said.
School officials said the loss is being deeply felt by students, staff members and the entire community. The school extended its condolences to Peyton’s family, friends, classmates, teachers and everyone who loved her.
“Our hearts are with Peyton’s family and friends as they navigate this unimaginable loss,” the school said.
COUNSELING AND SUPPORT PLANNED
Clinton High School said information about counseling and other support services will be provided to students and staff as the school community begins grieving together.
School leaders said they want to ensure members of the school family have access to the care and support they need during this difficult time.
The school asked the community to surround Peyton’s loved ones with kindness, compassion and prayer.
SERVICE AND CANDLELIGHT VIGIL PLANNED
A service honoring Peyton will be held Tuesday, September 8, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. inside the Clinton High School Auditorium.
A candlelight vigil will follow from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Clinton High School parking lot.
Those attending the vigil are invited to gather around the Hoyle family’s parking space and lift the family up in prayer.
The gathering is being held under the message “Praying for the Hoyle Family” and the theme “Believe • Pray • Love.”
The announcement also includes Romans 8:18:
“The pain you have been feeling cannot compare to the joy that is coming.”
The cause of Peyton’s death was not included in the information released by the school.
