A sudden blaze erupted in eastern Arkansas, stirring concern across the region.

A wildfire broke out near New Blaine in Logan County, prompting a multi‑agency response while the area remains under a burn ban.

Wildfire Ignites Near New Blaine

The fire is located in the New Blaine area of eastern Logan County, between Shoal Bay Road and Mountain Springs Road. Some structures have caught fire.

Multiple fire departments and the Arkansas Forestry Division have been notified and are on the scene. Many fire units are already engaged in suppression efforts.

Members of the fire departments and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office have been notifying residents in the affected area. Authorities are urging vigilance as the blaze spreads.

Logan County remains under a burn ban, which applies to the ongoing incident. Firefighters continue to work toward containment of the wildfire.
