He’s accused of using fake dollar bills!
Billy Cooper, 64, was booked into the White County jail on September 22, 2026, arrested by Bald Knob police, on charges of forgery – 1st degree and theft of property lt $1,000.
Counterfeit Allegations In Arkansas
The county lists the following charges:

According to the charging document:
(1) did unlawfully and feloniously and with the purpose to defraud, present to [name withheld], one hundred dollars of a counterfeit bill with “[name withheld]” on the face of the bill, he knew to be counterfeit, against the peace and dignity of the State of Arkansas;
(2) Said Defendant, on the date and in the county and state aforesaid, did unlawfully and knowingly and with the purpose of depriving the owner of their property, take unauthorized possession over property belonging to [name withheld], said property having a value of less than $1,000.00, to-wit: FUEL, BEVERAGE AND A [name withheld];
Stone stated on yesterday, Monday, June 22, 2026, on or around 9:30pm, BILLY JOE COOPER came into the service station and paid for purchases with a $100.00 bill. He said he personally knew COOPER and recognized him. Stone said COOPER purchased fuel, a beverage, and a lottery ticket with the total cost being $22.86. Stone said he then provided COOPER with $77.14 in change with COOPER leaving shortly thereafter. Stone said he later observed the bill to be counterfeit with ‘[name withheld]’ on the face of the bill.
