Arkansas Sheriff’s Office Investigates “Single Vehicle Accident” After Injuries Reported

A sudden roadway incident captured the attention of Conway County residents Saturday, prompting a swift community response.

A single‑vehicle accident on Highway 124 east of Springfield resulted in minor injuries; the driver was evaluated on‑scene, declined further treatment, and both the Conway County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police are investigating.

The vehicle left Highway 124, entered a ditch and overturned on the east side of Springfield. The incident occurred Saturday afternoon. No other vehicles were involved.

Med‑Tech EMS personnel evaluated the driver at the scene. The driver chose not to receive additional treatment or transport to a hospital. Springfield and Hillcreek firefighters managed traffic control while the accident was cleared.

The Conway County Sheriff’s Office, together with Arkansas State Police, opened an investigation into the cause of the crash. Officials have not released further details at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
