A train in Arkansas was halted by its crew before firefighters were called in.

Sardis firefighters responded to a report of a fire near the Willis crossing. They announced what happened in a special social media announcement.

A passing train crew spotted what they believed was fire along the tracks and radioed it in.

The railroad halted train traffic through the area as a precaution. Firefighters walked the tracks in both directions from the crossing.

After a thorough search, no fire was found.Tracks were cleared and train traffic resumed shortly after.
