Floyd Romance Fire Department was called at 10:01 a.m. on August 15, 2026, to a vehicle fire along Highway 31. Engine 2, Brush 2, Tender 1, and eight firefighters responded.
The car was found off the road at the edge of the woods. It was actively burning when crews arrived.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. They wet down and cooled the surrounding woods and brush to prevent spread from residual heat in the dry conditions.
Traffic was controlled at the scene. This ensured safety for responders and motorists.
White County deputies, Arkansas State Troopers, and Northstar also responded.
