Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has announced a new round of appointments to state boards, commissions and county quorum courts involving residents from communities across Arkansas.
The appointments include positions dealing with education, health care, pharmacy, rural medicine, optometry, taxation, sports and local government.
ARKANSAS EDUCATIONAL TELEVISION COMMISSION
Jeremy Gillam of Greenbrier was appointed to the Arkansas Educational Television Commission. His term expires March 23, 2034. He replaces Woody Freeman.
Kerri Taake of Fort Smith was appointed to the Arkansas Educational Television Commission. Her term expires March 23, 2028. The position was previously vacant.
ARKANSAS MINORITY HEALTH COMMISSION
Wes Booker of Maumelle was reappointed to the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. His term expires January 31, 2028.
LaTeasha Gaither-Davis of Marion was reappointed to the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. Her term expires January 31, 2028.
Jack Sisson of Bentonville was appointed to the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. His term expires January 31, 2027. He replaces Rhonda Mattox.
Leonard Williams of Pine Bluff was appointed to the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. His term expires January 31, 2028. He replaces Sedrick Rice.
ARKANSAS RURAL MEDICAL PRACTICE STUDENT LOAN AND SCHOLARSHIP BOARD
Jeanine Andersson of Little Rock was appointed to the Arkansas Rural Medical Practice Student Loan and Scholarship Board. Her term expires January 14, 2028. She replaces Amy Cahill.
Carey Antoon of Little Rock was appointed to the board. The term expires January 14, 2028. Antoon replaces Brian Thomas.
Ronald Robertson of Little Rock was appointed to the board. His term expires January 13, 2028. The position was previously vacant.
ARKANSAS STATE BOARD OF PHARMACY
Rodney Richmond of Searcy was reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy. His term expires June 30, 2032.
BOARD OF VISITORS OF THE SCHOOL FOR MATHEMATICS, SCIENCES AND THE ARTS
Heather Clouse of Fayetteville was appointed to the Board of Visitors of the School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts. Her term expires January 14, 2031. The position was previously vacant.
Jeffery Davidson of Benton was appointed to the board. His term expires January 14, 2032. The position was previously vacant.
Sarah Moore of Stuttgart was appointed to a new position on the board. Her term expires January 14, 2030.
Sara Walsh of Little Rock was appointed to the board. Her term expires January 14, 2033. She replaces Marlene Battle.
BOARD OF VISITORS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS PULASKI TECHNICAL COLLEGE
Mark Bremer of Benton was appointed to the Board of Visitors of the University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College. His term expires July 1, 2033. He replaces Amy Pierce.
Rajesh Chokhani of Little Rock was reappointed to the board. His term expires July 1, 2031.
Jack Thomas of Little Rock was appointed to the board. His term expires July 1, 2032. He replaces Raymond Long.
GOVERNOR’S COUNCIL ON SPORTS, FITNESS AND NUTRITION
Kayle Browning Conley of Greenbrier was appointed to a new position on the Governor’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. Her term expires December 31, 2026.
Ante Jazic of Little Rock was also appointed to a new position on the council. His term expires December 31, 2026.
STATE BOARD OF OPTOMETRY
Vickie Burlsworth of Harrison was appointed to the State Board of Optometry. Her term expires April 26, 2028. She replaces William White.
Abby Hackworth of Jonesboro was appointed to the State Board of Optometry. Her term expires April 26, 2028. She replaces Mitchell Gentry.
Joseph Sugg of Heber Springs was appointed to the State Board of Optometry. His term expires April 26, 2030. He replaces Beatrice Reed.
TAX APPEALS COMMISSION
Jonathan Camp of Bryant was appointed to the Tax Appeals Commission. His term expires June 30, 2031. The position was previously vacant.
Joseph Sanford of Rogers was reappointed to the Tax Appeals Commission and designated to serve as chief. His term expires June 30, 2034.
CHICOT COUNTY QUORUM COURT
Terry Alpe of Lake Village was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 5 on the Chicot County Quorum Court.
His term expires December 31, 2026, and he will fulfill the remaining term of Dale Scrivner.
GREENE COUNTY QUORUM COURT
Johanna Pillow of Paragould was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 4 on the Greene County Quorum Court.
The term runs through December 31, 2026. Pillow fulfills the remaining term of Jonathon Davis.
LONOKE COUNTY QUORUM COURT
Elizabeth Anderson of Scott was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 10 on the Lonoke County Quorum Court.
Her term expires December 31, 2026. She fulfills the remaining term of Rose Bryant-Jones.
PULASKI COUNTY QUORUM COURT
Douglas House of Sherwood was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 13 on the Pulaski County Quorum Court.
His term expires December 31, 2026. He fulfills the remaining term of Phil Stowers.
SALINE COUNTY QUORUM COURT
Michael Davidson of Alexander was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 5 on the Saline County Quorum Court.
His term expires December 31, 2026. He fulfills the remaining term of Justin Rue.
SEARCY COUNTY QUORUM COURT
John Hinchey of Marshall was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 1 on the Searcy County Quorum Court.
His term expires December 31, 2026. He fulfills the remaining term of Rob Woods.
The appointments announced by Governor Sanders include both new appointments and reappointments to positions affecting government, education, health care and public service throughout Arkansas.
