The suspect wanted in connection with the August 4 stabbing at Floyd Country Store is now in custody, according to the White County Sheriff’s Office.
Lt. Scott Seiders said he was notified Monday by task force officers that 46-year-old Dustan Davis had been taken into custody.
According to Seiders, Davis contacted probation and parole authorities. Arkansas Community Corrections officers then took Davis into custody and transported him to the White County Detention Center.
Seiders said Davis was also wanted on a warrant involving an alleged Class Y felony drug offense and another warrant for absconding.
The stabbing occurred at approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, at Floyd Country Store, formerly known as Moose’s Country Store.
Investigators previously said the incident resulted from a personal dispute and was not considered a random attack. Authorities told ArkansasRadio.com that the general public was not believed to be in danger.
The victim suffered a stab wound to the head. Despite the location of the injury, authorities said it was considered non-life-threatening.
The White County Sheriff’s Office initially asked the public for assistance locating Davis following the stabbing. That request is no longer active following his arrest.
Additional information about the stabbing charge, Davis’s bond and his first court appearance has not been released.
Davis is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
