Hundreds of pickleball players from across the country are in Cabot this weekend for what city officials describe as the largest pickleball tournament ever held in Arkansas.

The 2026 Arkansas Senior Olympics Pickleball Tournament opened Friday morning at Gametime at the Grounds and will continue through Sunday, August 16.
Approximately 705 players representing 16 states are participating in the record-setting competition. This marks the third consecutive year that Cabot has hosted the tournament.
Opening ceremonies were held Friday morning before competition began across 27 indoor courts at the sports complex, located at 300 Champions Drive.
The tournament includes men’s and women’s singles, gender doubles and mixed doubles. Senior Olympics competitors are divided into age groups beginning at 50 and continuing through the 85-and-older division. Players are also divided according to skill level.
An Arkansas Open division is available for players 49 and younger.
Friday’s competition features men’s doubles and women’s singles. Mixed doubles will take place Saturday, followed by women’s doubles and men’s singles Sunday.
The tournament is a qualifying event for the 2027 National Senior Games in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Players must finish among the top three competitors in their respective age group and skill division to qualify.
The Cabot tournament is also a United States Senior Pickleball-certified local event and a qualifier for the 2026 USSP National Tournament.
The event is presented by UAMS Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine and the City of Cabot.
Spectators may attend the tournament free of charge. Bleacher seating is available, but outside seating is not permitted. Food and drinks are available from the on-site concession area.
Registration for the tournament is closed.
City officials are encouraging visiting athletes and their families to explore Cabot’s restaurants, stores and other local businesses during their stay.
Tournament information, schedules and results are available through the Arkansas Senior Olympics and the official tournament listing.
