Record Friday Night Crowd Sets Stage for Big Saturday Finale at 46th Annual Cave City Watermelon Festival

The 46th Annual Cave City Watermelon Festival is heading into its final day after record attendance Friday night, as thousands packed downtown Cave City for an evening of live entertainment, delicious food, carnival rides and a high-energy performance by Confederate Railroad.

Festival organizers say Friday night’s turnout was one of the largest crowds in recent festival history, filling the festival grounds and creating tremendous excitement heading into Saturday’s grand finale.

Earlier Friday, the ArkansasRadio.com Radio Stations broadcast LIVE from the Sonic Drive-In near the festival entrance as the restaurant celebrated its 25th Anniversary in Cave City. Hundreds of visitors stopped by throughout the morning to visit with the ArkansasRadio.com team, enjoy refreshments, receive festival information and help celebrate Sonic’s milestone anniversary before the evening festivities began.
