A Boone County man is facing serious felony charges after being arrested by the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division following an investigation requested by the local prosecuting attorney.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Larry Hayden Graddy, 72, of Harrison, was arrested on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, on 2 felony counts of rape.
State Police said the investigation began in June 2026 after the 14th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney, David Ethredge, requested that the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division investigate allegations involving Graddy.
Special Agents with the Criminal Investigation Division took Graddy into custody at his residence in Harrison without incident. Following the arrest, Arkansas State Police Troopers transported him to the Boone County Detention Center, where he was booked and processed on the felony charges.
Investigators have not released details about the alleged incidents, including when they occurred or the age of the alleged victim or victims.
Officials said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
“The investigation is ongoing. No further information will be released at this time,” the Arkansas State Police said in a news release issued Wednesday.
Anyone with information that could assist investigators is encouraged to contact the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division.
The case will be reviewed through the judicial process in the 14th Judicial District.
As with all criminal cases, the filing of criminal charges is an accusation. Larry Hayden Graddy is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
