Community members stopped by the ASU-Beebe Searcy campus Friday for the free LAUNCH Adult Education Event held from 10 AM until 1 PM at 1800 East Moore Avenue in Searcy Arkansas.

The event highlighted the many free educational and workforce training opportunities available through ASU-Beebe Adult Education. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about GED classes and testing, college prep and brush-up courses, workforce preparation certificates, and free job training programs offered through the program.

Gina Ramey, Director of Adult Education, told ArkansasRadio.com News the event was designed to help people begin a new chapter in life.

“We’re calling it Launch because if you want to launch a new career, launch getting your diploma, launch a new phase of your life, get started fresh — we can help you do that,” Ramey said.

Ramey explained many people only associate Adult Education with GED programs, but the department offers much more including workforce certifications and career training programs at no cost.

“We do not charge one penny for what we do. It takes a little of your time and your commitment and that is it, and we’ll help you with the rest,” Ramey added.

The ArkansasRadio.com Broadcast Team was also on location broadcasting live from the event throughout the day as visitors toured the campus located across from Berry Hill Park in Searcy Arkansas.
