, , Leave a comment

The City of Searcy Arkansas has received a federal grant aimed at improving roadway safety and reducing serious crashes across the community.

The funding comes through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All program, also known as SS4A. City leaders say the grant will support the development of a comprehensive Safety Action Plan focused on eliminating fatal and serious injury crashes for all road users.

The plan will address safety for pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and others by using data analysis combined with public input to identify and prioritize needed improvements across Searcy Arkansas.

Officials say community involvement will play a key role in shaping the plan. Residents are encouraged to share feedback through an online survey and interactive comment map, now available at SearcySafeStreets.com.

City leaders say the effort is part of a broader initiative to create safer roadways and reduce accidents throughout White County Arkansas.

The Safety Action Plan will guide future infrastructure improvements and help Searcy Arkansas move toward long-term traffic safety goals.
