The manhunt for 36-year-old Edward Lampkin Jr has ended after authorities confirmed his arrest. According to Wynne City Hall, Lampkin Jr was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals and Arkansas State Police.
Lampkin Jr was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 34-year-old Javon Beal of Wynne. The incident occurred Tuesday at the intersection of C Street and Fitzhugh Circle.
The Wynne Police Department requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division, which launched a homicide investigation after the victim died from gunshot wounds.
Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding charges or court proceedings.
