The Cabot Police Department has announced it will once again host its 2026 Junior Police Academy Program, offering local students a hands-on look at law enforcement.

The academy is scheduled for June 22 through June 26, 2026. Registration will open online Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 8:00 AM and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
Officials say the program is limited to students within the Cabot School District or home-schooled students living within district boundaries who will be enrolled in the 2026 through 2027 school year in grades 5 through 7.
Participation is capped at 30 verified cadets with completed applications. Once capacity is reached, additional applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
Organizers note that students may only attend the Junior Police Academy one time, allowing more youth the opportunity to participate.
The program is designed to provide education, leadership development, and a better understanding of law enforcement through interactive activities and training.
Officials also announced that information regarding a Special Needs Junior Police Academy will be released in early May.
