Cabot Arkansas Recycling Changes Begin April 1 With New Drop-Off Dumpster

, , Leave a comment

Residents in Cabot will see changes to recycling services aimed at reducing rising monthly trash costs across the city.

City officials say recycling pickup has moved from weekly service to every other week. Leaders note that continuing weekly recycling would have resulted in significantly higher rates for customers.

Beginning April 1, the City of Cabot has partnered with Waste Connections to provide an additional recycling option. A roll-off dumpster will be placed at 3001 South 1st Street at the Allman/Bevis Sports Complex.

The drop-off location is available only to residents living within Cabot city limits and is intended strictly for approved recyclable materials.

City officials say the dumpster will be monitored for both capacity and contamination. If misuse becomes a consistent issue, the recycling site could be removed.
