White River Health Cardiology American Heart Month awareness was the focus last week as J. Wil Moore, APRN, served as guest speaker for the Batesville Kiwanis Club.
Moore, a provider with White River Health Cardiology, addressed members during the February meeting, highlighting the importance of cardiovascular health as part of American Heart Month. February serves as a national reminder to raise awareness about heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States.
During the presentation, Moore encouraged adopting healthy lifestyle habits including regular exercise, a nutritious diet, smoking cessation, and routine monitoring of blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
White River Health officials said they are proud of their cardiology team and their ongoing commitment to both their specialty and the local community.
The Batesville Kiwanis Club was thanked for hosting the presentation and supporting community health education efforts.
