Lyon College officials say the campus in Batesville will remain open and classes will be in session on Friday, January 30, while urging faculty, staff, and commuter students to use extreme caution when traveling due to lingering road conditions.
College leaders specifically caution travelers along East College Avenue from 22nd Street past Becknell Gymnasium, noting that those areas may still be hazardous. Officials also recommend avoiding Row Street when accessing campus.
Students and employees who are unable to travel safely because of road conditions are encouraged to contact their faculty members or supervisors as soon as possible.
The college emphasized that safety should remain the top priority for all members of the campus community as winter weather impacts continue across the region.
