Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has officially recognized 42 farm families as the newest inductees into the Arkansas Century Farm Program, celebrating more than a century of dedication, stewardship, and heritage in farming.

The program honors Arkansas farms that are 10 acres or more and have been owned by the same family for at least 100 years. Established in 2012 by the Arkansas Department of Agriculture, the program highlights the essential role these families play in sustaining the state’s largest industry. Participation is voluntary and free.

“Our Century Farm inductees do more than just farm – they have a legacy of leadership that pays dividends across the state,” Governor Sanders said. “Thank you for keeping our country fed, our state growing, and our communities strong.”

Arkansas Secretary of Agriculture Wes Ward praised the families’ resilience and impact, noting that Arkansas now recognizes 687 official Century Farms, located in all 75 counties.
