rkansas State University-Beebe crowned its 2024 Harvest Fest royalty on Wednesday, Oct. 29, during the annual Harvest Fest celebration in the Dr. Eugene McKay Student Center.
Kamauryi Smith, a business major from Beebe representing the Business Club, was named Harvest Fest Queen, while Cole Wood, an agriculture major from Ben representing the Ag Club, earned the title of Harvest Fest King. Smith plans to transfer to the University of Central Arkansas to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business, and Wood intends to pursue a career in insurance sales.

The winners were selected by the student body from a pool of candidates nominated by ASU-Beebe student organizations.

Austin McCulley, psychology, Clinton – TRIO Leadership Council
Calvin Pearce, animal science, Quitman – Residence Hall Association
Trejan Rainey, fine arts, Jacksonville – Black Excellence Association
David Rouss, liberal arts and sciences, Cabot – Business Club
Michael Shapard, business, Cabot – Vanguard Esports Club
The Harvest Fest tradition has been a hallmark of ASU-Beebe for more than 70 years, sponsored by Student Life and the Student Government Association.
“The Harvest Fest Royalty tradition reflects the best of ASU-Beebe—our students’ spirit, involvement, and commitment to their campus community,” said Zackery Tucker, dean of students. “It’s more than just a crown; it’s a recognition of character, leadership, and the positive impact our students make every day.”
