The arrest stems from an investigation by the 17th Central Arkansas Drug Task Force. Armstrong is accused of violating Arkansas Code Annotated §5-64-421, classified as a Class Y felony.
According to case files, the 17th Central Arkansas Drug Task Force initiated surveillance on Armstrong, suspecting him of distributing Fentanyl. On the day of the arrest, agents reportedly used a confidential informant equipped with an audio-video recording device to capture evidence.
According to the affidavit, Armstrong exited a vehicle to meet the informant at approximately 10:06 AM, stating he would return shortly. This interaction, recorded with GPS tracking, allegedly involved the delivery of Fentanyl.
The Task Force’s evidence included live-streamed footage, which authorities claim confirmed Armstrong’s role in the transaction. This prompted the issuance of the arrest warrant by the White County Circuit Court.
Armstrong’s arrest reflects a broader crackdown on opioid distribution in the region. The case remains under investigation as prosecutors prepare for the upcoming hearing.
A bench warrant was issued, commanding law enforcement to bring Armstrong before the White County Circuit Court. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 2, 2025, at 9:00 AM before Judge Pate.
Armstrong’s bond has been set at $50,000.
