A wound that reportedly came from a golf club!
James Derrick Spires, a 41-year-old from Beebe, Arkansas, was arrested on June 13, 2025, at 2:38 p.m. The arrest was made by the White County Sheriff’s Department. The following information was released by law enforcement. You can view the suspect’s photograph below.
Beebe Man Reportedly Had Golf Club Wound When Police Arrived
According to case files, Spires faces charges of residential burglary, a Class B felony. He is also listed as a habitual offender with four prior felony convictions.
The incident occurred on February 14, 2025, at a residence in Beebe. Spires allegedly forced his way into a neighbor’s home seeking his wife.
According to case files:
“He had a can of beer in his pocket, was intoxicated, and was bleeding from a wound to his head.”
After a police investigation, authorities stated:
“Mr Spires came to the house and was pounding on a window, and she [a neighbor] felt he was attempting to break out the glass.”
That’s when, according to authorities, the neighbor lady hit the man:
“She stated she grabbed a golf club and hit him in the shoulder, and he stepped back out of the house…”
A bench warrant was issued in May 2025 for his arrest. His bond is set at $20,000.
Spires is scheduled to appear in White County Circuit Court on July 8, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. The state has filed a motion for discovery in the case.
The investigation revealed Spires attempted to break into the home multiple times. Captain Steven Hall of the Beebe Police Department requested the arrest warrant.
