Big news for Fairfield Bay.

Harps Food Stores, Inc. has agreed to acquire Craven Foods, a beloved grocery store in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. The transition will see Craven Foods close on May 19, 2025, and reopen as a Harps store on May 21.

Craven Foods has long been a community cornerstone, cherished for its friendly atmosphere and personalized service. Harps aims to preserve these traditions while enhancing the store’s offerings.

Jimmy and Teresa Craven, owners of Craven Foods, expressed gratitude for their community’s support. Jimmy noted that Harps shares their values, ensuring continued care for Fairfield Bay.

Kim Eskew, Harps’ Chairman and CEO, welcomed Craven Foods into the Harps family. He emphasized their commitment to quality products and outstanding service.

The new Harps store will feature fresh produce, Harps Black Angus beef, all-natural pork, poultry, and a variety of grocery and bakery items. Customers can expect the same familiar faces and hometown feel.

Harps, an employee-owned company, operates 148 stores across six states and employs over 6,500 associates. It was founded in 1930 by Harvard and Floy Harp in Springdale, Arkansas.
