A driver was trapped underwater in their car in Arkansas
The Monticello, Arkansas Firefighters Association reported a single vehicle accident on Garnett Road late Friday night. It occurred at 11:24 PM on March 14, 2025. You can view photographs below.
Firefighters Saved Trapped Driver Underwater
MFD Rescue 1 arrived to find the vehicle off the roadway, resting in Sawyer Branch Creek. The driver was trapped inside when crews reached the scene.
Firefighters successfully removed the driver from the vehicle. SouthEast EMS then transported them to a medical facility.
Drew County Sheriff deputies aided the rescue by entering the creek. Their teamwork was crucial to the operation’s success.
