He reportedly faked where he lived in Batesville, Arkansas.

A 20-year-old man named Xavier H. Corter, a convicted sex offender, was supposed to register his address with the Independence County Sheriff’s Office. He reportedly misled law enforcement. Arkansas Radio reporter Tony Mac has the story below.

Batesville Man Arrested After Reportedly Faking Home Address

Corter had claimed his residence was in the 400 block of Broad Street, Batesville, last September.

A police visit on January 24 revealed he never lived there, according to the homeowner.

Corter was arrested on February 9 in Magness and is currently held on a $50,000 bond.

If convicted for failing to register, he could face 3 to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
