The first incident was reported after a 1.8 magnitude earthquake happened on January 19th near Batesville as well.
Now it’s a 1.9 magnitude earthquake.
Due to its minor size, both of the quakes caused no damage and there were no public reports of it being felt.
Both events were reviewed by a seismologist and confirmed by the United States Geological Survey.
The seismic activity, although small, is unusual for the Batesville area.
