Please Slow Down Near Accidents
In Arkansas, it’s crucial to slow down when approaching an accident scene to ensure safety for both first responders and other drivers.
The state law mandates that drivers must reduce speed and, if possible, move over a lane when passing emergency vehicles with active lights on the roadside.
Arkansas law specifically addresses this under AR Code § 27-51-1303, known as the “Move Over Law,” which applies not just to accidents but to any stopped vehicle with flashing lights
