On December 19th, a dangerous old school building was finally demolished in Jacksonville, Arkansas after over 2 years of pushing to get the project done. You can watch footage of the building collapsing below.
Old School Building Finally Comes Down
The Jacksonville City Council voted in April to train city employees for asbestos abatement at the old Jacksonville Elementary, sidestepping a hefty $99,000 contractor fee. Finances were the main issue preventing getting the project being completed earlier.
Now the building is finally gone.
The final demolition of the Jacksonville Elementary School campus occurred last Thursday, December 19. Wonderful work for all involved!
