Logan Carter, a 20-year-old from Jonesboro, was arrested in Independence County on charges of forgery following an investigation into fraudulent checks cashed against Beverly Construction’s account. You can view a photograph of the suspect below.
Young Arkansas Man Named In Forgery Case Involving Alleged Fake Checks
On November 13, 2024, Beverly Hill reported to the Batesville Police Department that checks were fraudulently cashed, one successfully for $2,209.33 and another attempt foiled at $2,278.33.
Investigator Shane Hightower’s probe included obtaining bank surveillance footage, which confirmed Carter as the suspect in both transactions, sporting a distinctive tattoo visible in the videos.
Carter’s arrest comes after he was seen entering and exiting a white GMC SUV rented from Enterprise, as captured by Wal-Mart’s parking lot cameras, reportedly linking him directly to the crime scenes.
Carter faces a charge of Forgery in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony, with his case to proceed to trial.
